When you think of eloping in Vegas, you might picture wild spontaneity or glittering late-night vows, but Shaye & Kyler’s intimate Sure Thing Chapel elopement was something slower, sweeter, and deeply rooted in presence. The couple, who live in Las Vegas but originally hail from Hawaii wanted a celebration that felt easy and joyful, with just the two of them (and their little one on the way). Proof that even locals can still find magic in this city, their elopement was full of tender tradition, personal meaning, and more love than can be put into words!

Honoring Hawaiian Traditions at Their Intimate Sure Thing Chapel Elopement
From the moment they arrived at Sure Thing, Shaye & Kyler carried their heritage with them. Shaye wore a beautiful haku lei, a flower crown woven with care, symbolizing strength, love, and honor. Kyler wore a maile lei, a sacred symbol often worn during major life milestones. It was such a gentle, grounding way to begin their ceremony. No frills. No performance. Just the two of them in love, standing side by side in this small, beautiful room, promising forever with their baby tucked safely between them. The kind of moment you don’t rush.

Downtown Las Vegas Photos With a Baby Bump & Big Smiles
After the ceremony, we wandered downtown for portraits, and let me tell you, Shaye was glowing! I mean, she would’ve been glowing regardless (hello, film queen energy), but the fact that she was pregnant added this whole extra layer of sweetness and stillness to the photos. They were nervous going in, which is so normal but I always remind my couples: I know what it feels like to be in front of a camera. That awkward, “what do I do with my hands?” energy? Been there. My job isn’t to make you perform, it’s to make you feel like yourselves. The laughs, the way they looked at each other, the little kisses, none of it was forced. Just real love. Unrushed. And caught exactly how memory intended.

Eloping While Expecting? Here’s Your Sign!
One of the most beautiful things about eloping is that it can look however you want it to, pregnant, barefoot, dressed to the nines, or in your comfiest sneakers. Shaye & Kyler didn’t wait for the “perfect” moment. They just knew they were ready to celebrate their love now. And that’s something I’ll always champion: making space for presence, not pressure. Their Intimate Sure Thing Chapel Elopement was a quiet kind of romantic, full of soft glances, city light, and the kind of sweetness you don’t have to fake!
