There are about a million places to take wedding photos in Vegas, but sometimes the unassuming ones end up being my favorites. These Las Vegas rooftop wedding photos were taken on the top level of the El Cortez parking garage, nothing fancy, just warm light, palm trees, old Vegas peeking through the skyline, and plenty of space to let these two be themselves. A little offbeat, a little nostalgic, and proof that you don’t need to stand beneath a giant neon sign for your photos to feel like Vegas.
Las Vegas Rooftop Wedding Photos, With a Little Old Vegas Charm
The top of a parking garage probably isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you picture your wedding photos. But that’s part of the fun. Up here, you get little pieces of downtown everywhere you look, the El Cortez sign, distant casino towers, rows of palms, and those faded reds and pinks that somehow look even better on film.
Instead of rushing from one recognizable landmark to the next, we had room to wander. They walked, laughed, leaned over the railing, and soaked up a little newlywed time while the late afternoon sun did its thing. Simple, easy, and very Vegas without trying too hard.
There’s More to Downtown Than the Usual Photo Spots: Like This Rooftop
I love the classic Vegas stuff as much as anyone, but your photos don’t have to look like everybody else’s. Downtown is full of overlooked corners that have their own kind of magic, and sometimes the best backdrop is the one that wasn’t really meant to be a backdrop at all.
That’s what I love most about these Las Vegas rooftop wedding photos. A parking garage became palm trees and open sky, long shadows on concrete, quiet little glances, and a few wonderfully weird murals tucked between levels. Nothing elaborate needed. Just good light, good company, and a willingness to see what happens.
