If you’re looking for a little old-school Vegas charm without the usual touristy spots, Atomic Liquors might just be your kind of place. It’s one of my favorite locations for wedding photos at Atomic Liquors, and honestly, I don’t think enough couples know about it! Between the vintage neon signs, colorful walls, and classic dive bar atmosphere, it’s got everything I love about Downtown Las Vegas. Whether you’re stopping by for a few photos after your ceremony or grabbing a drink to celebrate, this place has a whole lot of character.

A Little Vegas History With Your Cocktails
Atomic Liquors isn’t just another bar in Downtown Vegas. It’s been around since 1952 and has seen its fair share of Vegas history. Back in the day, it was a hangout for some pretty legendary characters, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Hunter S. Thompson. The name even comes from the days when people would watch atomic bomb tests from rooftops around Las Vegas. Pretty wild to think about while you’re sipping a cocktail, right? It’s the kind of place that still feels like a piece of old Vegas. No fancy chandeliers or perfectly polished interiors, just vintage signage, cold drinks, and a whole lot of personality. If you’re the type of couple who’d rather hang out at a dive bar than a fancy hotel lounge, you’ll probably feel right at home here.

Why I Love Taking Elopement & Wedding Photos at Atomic Liquors
There’s something about Atomic Liquors that just works so well on film. The colorful murals, brick walls, and giant retro signs make for some seriously cool backdrops without having to do much of anything. I’ve photographed quite a few couples here, and I love seeing how different everyone’s photos turn out. Some couples go full vintage with their outfits, while others show up in sneakers, sunglasses, and whatever feels most like them. Both look equally at home here.
It’s also one of those rare locations that looks great at pretty much any time of day. During the afternoon, you get all those bright colors and classic Vegas details, but once the sun goes down and the neon lights come on, it’s a completely different vibe. If you’re after those nostalgic, slightly gritty, old-school Vegas wedding photos, this is definitely a spot worth adding to your list.

More Than Just a Spot for Wedding Photos at Atomic Liquors
One of my favorite things about Atomic Liquors is that you don’t have to treat it like just another photo stop. You can swing by for your first drink as a married couple, bring your friends and family along for a little celebration, or even make it part of your wedding reception plans. They also have food available and offer drink tickets that can be purchased ahead of time, which is a pretty nice option if you’re planning to bring a group. Just be sure to check with the bar about current offerings and group arrangements.
It’s also a great place for your guests to hang out while we wander around Downtown Vegas taking photos. They can grab a drink and relax while we take advantage of the surrounding streets, signs, and all the little corners that make this part of town so fun to photograph. Then we can meet back up for a round of cocktails and a few more photos before calling it a day. Not a bad way to spend your wedding afternoon, if you ask me.
