If getting married in the backseat of a vintage pink Cadillac sounds like your kind of Vegas. The pink cadillac ceremony at the Little White Chapel might have your name all over it. It’s kitschy, nostalgic, a little over-the-top, and honestly just a really fun way to get married. The whole experience is quick, which somehow makes it even more Vegas. You show up, say “I do,” take some photos in one of the most recognizable cars in town, and leave officially married. Not a bad way to spend 15 minutes.
What to Expect From a Pink Cadillac Ceremony
The Pink Cadillac lives inside the chapel’s Tunnel of Love, and the ceremony time is typically around 15 minutes total. The actual getting-married part usually only takes about five minutes. Leaving the rest of your time for photos in and around the car. And trust me, there are plenty of ways to make those few minutes count.
When it comes to the ceremony itself, you can stand in front of the Cadillac. But sitting inside is the classic option, and definitely the one I recommend. There’s just something about exchanging vows from the backseat of a giant pink Cadillac that feels appropriately Vegas. You can also have Elvis officiate and even add a few live songs if you really want to commit to the experience. Go big or go home, right?
Why I Love Photographing the Pink Cadillac Ceremony
From a photography perspective, there’s a lot packed into one little corner of the chapel. You’ve got the bubblegum-pink Cadillac, the painted cherubs and stars overhead, and all those wonderfully kitschy details that make the Tunnel of Love feel like it belongs in another decade. Once the ceremony is over, we can use the remaining time for photos sitting in the car, standing beside it, and soaking up that just-married feeling before your time is up.
There’s also a bit of Vegas lore attached to the car: the chapel says the Cadillac once belonged to Elvis and was gifted to a previous owner of the chapel. Whether every piece of that story is true… I’ll let you decide, lol. Either way, the Pink Cadillac ceremony isn’t trying to be subtle, and that’s kind of the point. It’s playful, iconic, and unapologetically Vegas. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if it feels like you, you’re probably going to have a very good time.
